when i type it in on tomtom it flickers onto the map showing where kinloss is then it says no route found, so i thought i’d try AA route planner and the same thing happens. works in RAC route planner though. anyone know why?

well i m planning to buy a gps system for my prnts .
my dad is not good with the technology of touchscreen and all therefore i m planning to get them a garmin nuvi 800 . Its somethign which works on the voice commands.
1) if anyone has used this kind of thing before can u tell me that is it better to use touchscreen gps or these voice commands because i think voice commands can be anoyying sometimes when they dont go accroding to what u want it as .
2) DO ANYONE KNOWS BETTER GPS MODELS TO GET FOR PARENTS AND WORTH MONEY TO spend on
3) i m thinking to get it from ebay ? is that ok . liek i hv never bought stuff from there before .. so i m just kinda worried ,, there r some refurb models too .. r they ok .. like should i spend my money on them ?
i would really appreciate all the advices and opnions . Be nice as i hv no good knowledge about gps

I have just received a new ipaq with Tomtom Navigator 6 installed. I’m told that it will, if set up correctly, read aloud things like street names, road numbers and signposts. I’ve found the option to turn all this on under Speech Preferences, and they’re all ticked. The voice is telling me to “turn left” and such like, but that’s it. How do I get it to tell me the street names and everything else?

I have bought a ‘brand new’ tomtom one XL from ebay, but am not so sure if it is brand new. The manual speaks of The Product Code card, which requires scratching off to reveal a number. However, there does not appear to be anything to scratch off - the number is already visable. Are product codes now supplied like this? Also, do these devices come with a one-time free download of speed camera updates, or do they always have to be purchased? Thanks.

my husband just bought TomTom for me and i was wondering if i could charge TomTom at home without the USB home charger. can i charge it with my computer?
